Fairgrounds will require vaccination card for exhibitors and visitors

Corferias requiring vaccination cards for exhibitors and visitors defines 100% capacity at their fairs and events

• With this new measure, the trade fair industry is once again operating at 100% capacity.
• According to the latest national Government determinations, through Decree 1408 issued on November 3, 2021 by the Ministry of the Interior and District Decree 442 of November 9, 2021, as of November 16, 2021, people over 18 years of age must present their digital vaccination certificate and/or vaccination card to access events and fairs.
• The regulation also requires the digital vaccination card or certificate, which can be downloaded through mivacuna.sispro.gov.co,for those over 12 years of age since November 30.
• Corferias, as a leader in the organization of fairs and events, and in compliance with the regulations, continues to focus its efforts on the reactivation of the fair industry in a responsible manner, maintaining the biosecurity measures for fairs and events.

The International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogota - Corferias, in the midst of a process of reactivation of fairs and events, is committed to the implementation of biosafety measures and protocols. In accordance with the guidelines issued by the National and District Government since 2020, Corferias was certified as a biosecure venue, with the MINCIT's "Check In Certificado" endorsement and received for the second time the "Safe Guard" seal granted by the international company Bureau Veritas.

Corferias in alignment with the National Government regulations, informs organizers, exhibitors and visitors of fairs and events, that in compliance with Decree 1408 of 2021 and District Decree 442 of November 9, 2021, as of November 16, 2021, it will be mandatory for fairs and events to present the Covid 19 vaccination card or the digital certificate proving vaccination, at least with the first dose. For now, this requirement will be requested for people over 18 years of age, and from November 30, it will be mandatory for people over 12 years of age.

Andrés López Valderrama, executive president of Corferias, said "the Corporation has always been aligned with national commitments to ensure the welfare of people in the midst of a responsible economic recovery, where fairs are a driving force of the economy. We comply with the regulations and that is why our priority will be to guarantee that both exhibitors and visitors of the events held at Corferias will meet this requirement and we will comply with the regulations issued by national and local entities".

This regulation comes after last November 3, when the national government, through the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health Protection and Social Protection, issued Decree 1408 of 2021, which states that "territorial entities must add to the biosecurity protocols in force, the mandatory presentation of the vaccination card against covid-19 or digital certificate of vaccination, available at the link: mivacuna. sispro.gov.co, showing at least the beginning of the vaccination schedule.

This requirement applies to public or private events, bars, gastrobars, discotheques, dance halls, concerts, casinos, bingos and leisure activities, sports venues, amusement and theme parks, museums and fairs.
