From raw materials to garments: Createx 2026 shows how the textile chain operates in Colom

  • Organized by the Colombian Chamber of Apparel and Related Industries (CCCyA) and Corferias, the eighth edition of Createx will include a trade show, academic agenda, workshops, business roundtables, and fashion shows, offering a space to generate opportunities, update processes, and connect the industry with the market.

Bogotá, February 2026. For three days, entrepreneurs, clothing manufacturers, buyers, designers, and suppliers will tour the fair through six components that articulate the Createx experience—Textile Industry Fair for Clothing Manufacturing—and respond to the current needs of the industry.

The trade show will bring together companies specializing in supplies, textiles, machinery, technology, specialized services, and finished products, allowing visitors to explore the entire production chain from start to finish. Throughout the pavilions, attendees will be able to identify specific solutions for their processes, meet new suppliers, update their offerings, and establish strategic alliances. Likewise, the participation of international exhibitors broadens the landscape for buyers and entrepreneurs interested in materials, technologies, and global market trends, strengthening the role of Createx as a platform for connecting the domestic industry with international markets.

In addition, the academic agenda will offer a program of content aimed at providing useful and applied information for decision-making in the industry. Through talks and analysis sessions, topics such as sustainability, innovation, technology, responsible consumption, circular economy, and business development will be addressed, in line with the current dynamics of the fashion system and new market demands.

Likewise, the workshops will broaden the knowledge experience with practical spaces focused on specific processes, techniques, and applications. These scenarios will allow attendees to delve deeper into the use of materials, technologies, and production solutions, connecting learning with the operational reality of the sector.

For its part, the dynamic exhibition will showcase processes, technologies, and applications in action. Through live demonstrations, visitors will be able to observe how innovation in machinery, supplies, and technical solutions is integrated into production, bringing efficiency, quality, and added value to the garment manufacturing chain.

In terms of the commercial component, the business roundtable will be one of the strategic pillars of Createx 2026. This space is designed to facilitate effective meetings between companies, buyers, and potential partners, promoting real opportunities for networking, commercial agreements, and the opening of new markets.

Finally, the catwalks will show how innovation in inputs, textiles, and production processes is transformed into design and finished products, strengthening the link between industry, manufacturing, and trends, and highlighting the connection between the production chain and the end market.

All this is complemented by a special emphasis on regional coordination, as Createx 2026 recognizes that the strength of the textile and clothing industry in Colombia lies in its territories. In this context, Bogotá and its region consolidate a strategic role: according to a study conducted by the fashion laboratory, Bogotá-Cundinamarca accounted for around 31.2% of all companies in the Colombian textile sector, according to historical data from business registries.

Alongside the capital, Antioquia and Valle del Cauca maintain their industrial leadership; Santander and Norte de Santander stand out for their specialization in clothing, denim, and footwear; Nariño strengthens clothing manufacturing from within the region; the Coffee Region contributes specialized manufacturing with a focus on sustainability; the Caribbean Coast brings identity and design; and Ibagué reaffirms its vocation in complete clothing manufacturing.
